ABOUT THE FOUNDER

Bryan D. Sparkman was born and raised on the Southside of Chicago, Illinois. He moved to Los Angeles in 2011 with a passion for storytelling. An avid reader of newspapers (WSJ & NYT) and books, he realized there were myriad stories not represented in television.

In order to one day create his own content to the landscape of television and subsequently film, he invested in numerous books on screenwriting and private writing classes over a two year period.

The first project produced from Drakenstein Productions is the documentary “Out of Darkness” which details the East St. Louis Illinois Race Riots of 1917.
